A humorous take on the female stereotype as well as a comment on our obsession with the home and how it can become a weight and restriction on ones life.

After finishing her BA in Fine Art at Oxford University Mimi Norrgren went on to complete an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in London. In 2010 she was shortlisted for the Saatchi New Sensations Art Prize. Tugged between sculptural object and performative action, her work often takes the form of live performance. She is obsessively involved in sculpture because it allows her to understand the world while touching it. Norrgren's work is guided by images of unique landscapes and tradition some of which are routed in her Czech and Swedish ancestry.
