About The Artwork

Young Dhofari men cooling off in Ain Sahalnoot Oman Portfolio Premium Quality Print, signed, numbered and dated on mount card, and on rear of print. Limited Edition 7 of 50 Mounted on mount card. Print size is 16.5 inches (H) x 11.7 inches (W). With mount card, overall size is 20.5" x 15.7". Shipped flat in cardboard box with Certificate of Authenticity. I took this photograph on color film using a Canon camera with a high quality lens. A perfect Gift for Christmas or Birthday! This waterhole (spring; Arabic ‘Ain’) is in the foothills of the Dhofar mountains in southern Oman, about 15 km/10 miles from the regional capital, Salalah. This spring is very popular with local youth during the summer time, because the air temperature is hot (30C/86F to 38C/100F) and the spring water is quite cold, as it has come from an underground spring. When I was living in Oman, this photo won a national photo competition for the section “Oman in Action”. This photo is also popular on Saatchi Art – one copy has recently sold here; also, several copies hang in private collections in the Gulf countries, including one in Muscat (Oman). Keywords: Middle East, Dhofar, Oman, Sultanate of Oman, GCC, Arabia, Arab, old tree, relaxation, leisure, pond, pool, activity, brown, green, color, autumn, fall, jump, dive.
