Youssef Elkahfai was born in 1969 in Marrakech, Morocco, where he lives and works. He is speaker at the Visual Arts High School of Marrakech. He teaches engraving and lithography. In 1993 he was graduated from the National Fine Arts of Tétuan, Morocco. He is an artist who has a lot of facets as he is a painter, an engraver and a sculptor. In 2003 his drawing gifts pushed him to deepen his knowledge in the engraving field, completing his works as a painter. This passion gave birth to a printing floor dedicated to creation for many other artists. Elkahfai offers an other way to tackle art, the way of form legitimacy as pictorial language, the reverse side of resemblance. He is overwhelmed by art as a powerful way of expression in his whole life. For more than twenty years in this career, Elkahfai is nowadays very well known in the moroccan artistic landscape ,and his paintings may be found in many collections, national and international as well
