About The Artwork
When planning a trip to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas, I was excited to see the canyon from a different angle and from a different cultural lens. While the southern rim is managed by the National Park Service, the western rim is managed by the Hualapai Tribe. This horse was just one of the creatures I met there greeting me warmly, welcoming me to the homeland of the Hualapai and Havasupai.
