About The Artwork

Tradition holds that the "Mona Lisa" is a painting of Lisa Gherardini, wife of Florentine merchant Francesco del Giocondo, and that Leonardo started painting it in 1503. In France, the painting, on display at the Louvre Museum, is referred to as La Joconde - the French version of her married name. The name Mona Lisa is the equivalent of "Madam Lisa." But who knows what the truth is? She has long teased scholars with her mysterious sensuality, and her identity has been a puzzle for almost 500 years. Was Mona Lisa really a wife of Francesco del Giocondo, as many scholars believe, or a duke´s widow or a Medici mistress? Note from Newsweek January 5,1987: Computer artist Lillian Schwartz in 1987 found that most obvious, most revealing, most poetically right answer was: Mona Lisa is none other than Leonardo da Vinci himself. Do you believe? Historians believe that Leonardo was probably homosexual. I believe: »Mona Lisa is a reflection of Da Vinci's female pole, his anima. In Mona Lisa he professed a deep, female source of life in itself, of the light that is the mystery and joy at the same time. Joy is a gift of the female heart and a woman is a blissful vision. But What does it really mean to be a woman? In what ways does a woman mature? What is the male component in the female persona? A woman's greatest privilege and development lies in her task of being the holder of joy. The Was Mona Lisa Pregnant work of art constitutes harmony between the female and male principle. Our world will be saved if it manages to recapture the balance between the male and female polarity, along the way that has already been suggested by the Renaissance and which is being rediscovered in the present day by sensitive spirits - artists, thinkers, scientists. In that regard, Leonardo Da Vinci is incredibly modern and persuasive, even though half a millennium has passed between his time and ours. Intellect and intuition. Experience and experiment, yan and ying. Bipolarity in perfect balance: universal spirit and a comprehensive view of man and the world. The value of life, the usefulness and beauty of the world constituted a firm basis of Leonardo's thinking. Da Vinci Chromosom. The essential paradox of life. Our lives are built upon the death of another, as he summarised constant changes, when life is born from death. Hope and at the same time yearning to return to the original chaos. Ripatriarsi. To return home. When I feel that I have learnt to live, I will learn to die. Every action contains a small particle of death. And every pain is a wound that foretells the last great wound, death. But without it all we would not know what life is. We only live because we die bit by bit, moment upon moment. Was Mona Lisa pregnant? Apocalypse. Discovery. The start of the New Paradigm. The Reawakening of the Divine Feminine. Year 2012. Why is everyone talking about the year 2012? The Solstice on December 21, 2012-precisely at 11:11 AM Universal Time-marks the completion of the 5,125 year Great Cycle of the Ancient Maya Long Count Calendar. Rather than being a linear end-point, this cycle that is closing is naturally followed by the start of a new cycle. What this new cycle has in store for humanity is a mystery that has yet to unfold... The beginning of a new consciousness on the Earth. Carlos Barrios, who was trained as an Ajq'ij in the Maya tradition, has this to share in regards to 2012: "Our planet can be renewed or ravaged. Now is the time to awaken and take action... The prophesized changes are going to happen, but our attitude and actions determine how harsh or mild they are. The 2012 date indeed marks the completion of this World Age Cycle. This is crucially important moment for humanity and for earth. Each person is important. If you have incarnated into this era, you have spiritual work to do balancing the planet...The greatest wisdom is in simplicity. Love, respect, tolerance, sharing, gratitude, forgiveness. It's not complex or elaborate. The real knowledge is free. It's encoded in your DNA. All you need is within you. Great teachers have said that from the beginning. Find your heart, and you will find your way." ............ My special thanks in this story goes to: Madam Ana (born 1933) who gave me very old misterious notes about Leonardo and Mona Lisa. The seal seen on my artwork has also the number 33. Coincidence? Here are some General info about »Was Mona Lisa pregnant: Year: 2011 Technique: gicclee, oil, pencil and rice paper on canvas.
