About The Artwork
They invited me with a group of artists to the open air in the Crimea. It was something extraordinary. Spring, there are no vacationers yet. Gurzuf is preparing to receive guests and we are artists on the shore. It's already warm, but not hot. I saw the sea as a child, but I never wrote. There was some kind of fear, panic. But I really wanted to. There was no speed. I generally write slowly. And then the sea. Agile and so changeable, always different. They wrote etudes. And on the basis of the sketches, a decision arose to create such a picture. Red, orange, to convey that warmth of Gurzuf. I hope this picture will resonate with the audience. This work was exhibited at the all-Ukrainian painting exhibition in 2008 in Kiev and was placed in the catalog. I work only with high quality materials.
