Wandering Under the Stars The source of my inspiration in creating this painting was the Cartier Tank watch. This watch with a rectangular dial was made at the beginning of the last century; it performed a real revolution in the watch design of that time. In my imagination, the rectangular shape of a watch has always been associated with a rectangular shape of paintings and clock hands - with a female silhouette. Perhaps, these associations and comparisons have become the main motives in creating this painting. Wandering Under the Stars - I suppose this name of my painting has a great depth of meaning in it, symbolizing the essence of our life. Our dreams & hopes are like stars in faraway sky and we pursue them throughout our lives. The hour hands measure time movement of our lives and we follow them as the wanderers under the sky of stars.
