About The Artwork
Part of a series of four small pieces, using a single repeated shape, exploring colour and composition. The work is made using layers of Mi-Teintes paper that is hand-cut, stitched and folded to create the three-dimensional shape. Sections of the design are then collaged with small pieces of the paper and pieces of thin oak veneer. Solid oak box frame, no glass.

Born Scotland 1986, lives and works in London. Work explores the crossovers between art, design, craft and graphics. A significant part of the work focuses around the use of paper and experimentation with cutting, folding and stitching techniques as ways of manipulating the material to create dynamic, often highly intricate three-dimensional surfaces and forms. Work ranges from small scale framed pieces to large scale site-specific sculpture and installation, and also includes scenography, public art and product design.
