About The Artwork
Still-life inspired by the tale of Narcissus, a figure from Greek mythology who was so impossibly handsome that he fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water and who lives on as the flower into which he was transformed and as a synonym for those obsessed with their own appearance. To realize the painting I made an installation using a self-portrait sculpture in terracotta and using it as a vase in which I put some Narcissus flowers.

Born in Cannes, France on April 10, 1965. He graduated from liceo classico (secondary school focusing on humanities), and went on to study art and philosophy at the University of Venice. In 1989 his first personal exhibition took place at the Bac Art Studio Gallery in Venice.
