Twilight + Dancing' Original Abstract Painting By Simon Slater A fine example of my Abstract Expressionist style. Inspired by my 2020 lockdown trip to Ibiza. I was lucky and very grateful to escape from the U.K during the Pandemic and enjoy ten days in my favourite place. Celebrating the setting Sun and taking time out to witness day turn tonight is an island tradition. It was such a relief to see the people of Ibiza still enjoying life and not let fear interfere with celebrating being grateful to be alive. During the chaos, the search for simplicity and peace continued. Please Note: although I travelled during Pandemic, Spanish government rules were followed and respected at all times, and all health checks satisfied. Social distancing was respected all times, even when I was drinking beer and dancing watching the sun go down with happy locals. High-quality Acrylic on Loxley Chunky Professional Artist Canvas. Hello and thank you for looking at my Artwork. My name is Simon Slater. I have been painting regularly for eight years and find it extremely fun and relaxing, it is also a great outlet for my creativity. It is not easy to define the style of my artwork as i don't stick to one particular style. My Art is often a spontaneous explosion of Abstract Expressionism mixed with Experimental subconscious Creation. I live in the City of Glasgow and often take inspiration from the hustle and bustle of city life, I also loved to travel and explore places i have never seen before. The intensity of the colours and the breathtaking landscapes i have come across inspired me to encapsulate elements of this in my Art. I love experimenting with colours and i am constantly searching for new ways of applying paint to canvas. I am very pleased how my art has developed over the years purely by experimenting with the possibilities of paint and I look forward to progressing further as an Artist.
