About The Artwork
It was a challenge for me to reduce my painting significantly. The images suggest an artificial world in which invented light sources are the focus. The series of images is titled “Trance” because the focus is on an artificial world and liveliness and perspective are excluded. This series is the forerunner of the “Changing Matter” series of images.

While I was inspired by street art in the past and incorporated elements of this into my art, I have now left this area and a "journey" has taken place. At the moment I'm working a lot with abstraction, meditative work and fragmentary elements. I am a trained illustrator and switch from realistic style to abstraction. Free painting allows me to break away from working with a love of detail. On the other hand, skilled drawing provides a foundation for free painting. I live in the north of Germany and studied in Hamburg.
