Through The Piddle Valley Painting

Acrylic, Chalk, Conte and Charcoal on Canvas The Piddle Valley is a beautiful area of Dorset, carved into the earth by the river Piddle. I used to travel through it day in and day out to get practically anywhere worth being, so it became something close to me by bearing so much of my time through its winding ways. But there are so many shapes that spring to mind when thinking of rendering it that I let my mind drift into a meditative state and subconsciously conjure the shapes, colours and compositional values within the vast space which all have huge impacts upon me as a being, having spent so much time living in the area and constantly travelling through it.
