About The Artwork
This painting started out as a very small sketch, and in transferring the sketch to full size I used dripped enamel paint to trace the lines. The work was then finished over an extended period of months using oil paint. The title comes from the original sketch which showed several male figures in a row - however, as is the way with a lot of my work, these figures receded into the paint. In some places traces of them can still be seen.
