About The Artwork
It is a figurative painting that shows the phantasmatic inner world of an alienated human artist. The artist is always also an esotericist, a mythographer, a graphologist of a world that disappears into the darkness and which may never be seen. It is a world where monsters, demons, vampires and woman come from and are too beautiful for this world. A title like vampire brings to mind the supernatural and demonic. This grotesque, hybrid portrait is partly of a human being and partly of an animal, drawn in Neo-expressionism. It is an artistic attempt to express feelings, desires, projections that are connected with female sexual magnetism. The dark primitive side of the female sex is emphasized here. The picture is created with convulsive and dilettante gesture to certain suggestive scenes of violence and sexuality. Drawn from strong emotional and deepest layers of the psyche.
