About The Artwork
My painting was inspired by Renaissance portrayals of the Madonna and Child. My cows that I raise on my farm in Virginia are my models and inspire my work. Combining contemporary color field paintings with realistic depictions of animals I hope my viewers will see into the personalities and individuality of farm animals.

For thirty-five years she and her husband raised cattle on their farm in central Virginia, nurturing a herd comprised of many breeds and diverse models for her painting.
