About The Artwork
This is a piece that was done on 2 doors of the walk- in closet in the artist's home. It can easily be installed in a different residence (if the door frame has the correct dimensions)or taken down and placed on a wall as a 2 panel painting. It was inspired by the the Tokens song "the Lion Sleeps Tonight" as well as by the paintings of the French painter Henri Rousseau. When you open and close the doors, it seems like the lions are pulling away from each other and coming back as if they were actually dancing.
