About The Artwork
The Bible asks in the Book of Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the Leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. The Lord notified the people that it was in their power to change from evil to good, as that they are not in a fixed condition such as the Ethiopian's skin color or the Leopard's spots. My effort with this painting is to display distraction, and confusion between colors of skin, with the Leopard's spots almost secluded in the background. May we learn to accept our unchangeable skin, and that of others, so that God can be happy with his potpourri of human flowers. Acrylic paint, focus, and patience were critical in completion of this work of art.
