Limited Edition Giclee on ready-to-hang canvas with white or black edges (please specify when ordering). Proofed, signed and numbered by the artist, with certificate of authenticity. Painting Symbolism: My cat was eyeing some giant ravens at the time, which I knew she would never catch. But as I watched, my own story evolved about what the cat may be thinking - which was, “how can I bring the birds to me”? So it became a study about temptation, deception and cunning, both in the animal and the human world. About people pretending to be something other than what they are as a means to an end. Aside from the sometimes resulting pain, this aspect of human nature can be quite comical in its transparency when viewed with hindsight.

About the Artist Award-winning oil painter Paul Bond was born in 1964 in Guadalajara, Mexico, and currently lives and works in Southern California and Costa Rica. Paul Bond's art lives in the spaces between dreaming and reality. Drawing from the Latin American genre of Magic Realism, his paintings merge symbolic, surreal and fantastic elements with realistic atmospheres to unveil a world where everything is possible. At times, they simply express a whimsical aspect of life. Yet most works also carry deeper metaphysical and philosophical messages illuminating the world of our dreams and subconscious thoughts, fears and hopes. Bond’s work has won numerous awards and been featured in galleries, museums and cultural centers, including The Gateway Museum and The San Diego Art Institute. His paintings are now in private collections throughout the US, and worldwide. Corporate collections include Fox, Warner Bros and NBC Studios, Royal Caribbean International, Marriott Hotels, Scripps and Stanford Hospitals; and his works are featured in numerous contemporary art publications.
