About The Artwork
The Gift is the main piece in the Divinity collection that I built the rest of the series around. The main subject, a woman from below, is reaching out her hand to receive a “gift” from a depiction of God in the upper left hand of the canvas. The face of God appears to be shifting as to represent multiple interpretations of a higher power. This piece, similar to “Creation of Adam” by Leonardo Davinci, portrays an act of divine intervention, but poses it as a question.
