About The Artwork
Landscapes of Northern Serbia inspired this series. The idea of The End means ending in a narrow sense (the ending of a series of drawings of similar poetic content since five decades of work signify a kind of an ending) but it can also refer to the universal theme of the ephemeral quality of time. Drawings conditioned the creation of paintings - in this case drawing comes before painting and painting is built and constructed in layers.
