About The Artwork
In october 2019 the artist went to Cap d'Antibes to make a few sketches and two watercolors from nature. During lockdown in 2020 he used them as studies to paint this oil painting on a linen canvas. It was painted in successive glazes in order to give the work depth and luminosity.This work reflects the peaceful atmosphere of this nice beach bordered on each side by red ochre rocks. Luxury houses hidden in the pine trees overlook the beach and gave the name to this place: 'baie des milliardaires ' (billionaires' cove). It is ready to hang and framed with a box (see additional photo). Dimensions without the frame: 30x30 cm
