About The Artwork

This forest is bathing in the sunshine over the rolling hills. The arch as basic building element transforms into trees, hills, rays and the crown of the sun - everything is the same differently. "Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter." Albert Einstein I used multiple thin acrylic layers to build up this painting. At places the paint is light and transparent and at places it is thick and textured. I also used inlayed collaged pieces to create trees.

Kondor Valeria is a Hungarian visual artist working mainly in watercolour and water-based media. Her images depict a personal mythology, relationships, connections, dependence, independence and most of all a world where eveything has a pair and the entities belong to each other. She creates abstract landscapes where she explores the human-plant parellels. The viewer can walk around the painting, like in a garden or on a map...even if the painting is created with minimalist details. Valeria holds a BFA from drawing and visual communication. She is also a qualified art teacher for age group 3 to 18. Valeria has family ties to India where she lived for over a decade and now she lives and works with her family in Hungary.
