About The Artwork

Inspired by "About color spirituality", I made this painting in which each color has a meaning and the colors together can tell a story or create sounds. The black is absolute nothing, white - absolute everything. The idea of the painting - how absolute nothing, lack of desire to do anything, unknown situation can grow into willingness to do something, desire to learn, and create. The threat for the internal activity that is symbolized by red is in green color - laziness, but if red can mix with external activity (yellow) it can be powerful and useful orange. The mix of yellow and green is a color of sickness, unrevealed opportunities, and a color of an ill person, a color of a person who wants to do more, but is not allowed by the environment he/she is in. White with a little red creates a very pale pink color, the color of dresses of young women (lyceum students), the color of purity and youth. Blue symbolizes wisdom, with the mixture of red it turn out to be brown, but the proportion of the colors is important. If blue dominants, the brown is static, but if red prevailing, then brown can find energy and be able to make positive changes. My brown has more red, but can it challenge the yellowish-green power?

I am an artist by nature and a strategy consultant on my business card. Luckily enough, only half of Sufi poet Nesimi's line "both worlds can fit within me, but in this world I cannot fit" is true in my case: after seven years of inactivity, I'm back to "self-expressionism". Mostly learning by doing and trying, I experiment with glass and reflections, words and codes, color and crafts. Sometimes we choose other ways to express the feelings rather than words. For me, painting is an escape, self-expression, stress relief, and a source of good mood - all in one. My new devotion are fragile media - glasses and mirrors - on which I depict my "monologues dialogues". Recently, I have started an innovative way of merging art with new ways of communication. Apart from "traditional" abstract paintings on glass, I code my thoughts or lines from favorite poems as tricky labyrinths on glass. Each painting is also a QR code, so if you have a smartphone and a QR code reader application, you can go beyond simply looking at the photos of my glass paintings. Only right lighting and equipment allows a viewer to read a true story behind colors and small dots and to get the real essence of my objects.
