About The Artwork
While it looks a bit surreal this scene was real. Not a typical landscape scene that normally invites me for a painting. But a strange attraction that was so strong, that it still moves me every time I see the painting or the photographs that I took to capture this moment. Materials used: Schmincke HORDAM Watercolours (Artist Quality) on ARCHES® mould-made Watercolour paper, 100% cotton, 185 g/m². Format of the paper - roughly about 56 x 38 cm; format of the painting: 54 x 36 cm (it is actually about 1-2 mm larger on each side so that it can be conveniently mounted behind a passepartout with a 54 x 36 cm window).
