This painting was inspired by the lucious and adventurous landscape paintings of Wayne Thiebaud I am intrigued by abstracting the landscape and yet incorporating realism and making it all fit together in a cohesive painting. I hope my viewers will be enchanted and inspired by this fresh take on the traditional genre of painting pastoral landscapes. I love the painterly qualities of oil paints when painting the rural landscapes that I love in Virginia. I paint on a cattle farm with my herd of cattle grazing out the window.

For thirty-five years she and her husband raised cattle on their farm in central Virginia, nurturing a herd comprised of many breeds and diverse models for her painting.
