A work that deals with the notion of Gender as a hermetic principle. Gender in this sense is the idea of polarity in the universe - masculine and feminine energy coming together in all things in certain proportions. Gender is the topic of the piece and also the method by which it is made. A more careful underpainting / drawing is created based on soft 'female' forms, to then be defined but partially obliterated by the vigorous 'male' white-out in oil on top.
