Exciting landscape in a small package! This bold mixed media work is painted on Fabriano hot press paper with Charbonnel etching inks, Old Holland oil paints, pastel and colored pencil through a complexity of layering techniques. Using a multitude of color, this work beckons you to come into the forest for a walk! Sunlit path, full trees and dappled sunlight all help to create a welcoming painting. Fully framed and matted in white, the painting itself is a square 10" x 10". This painting was inspired by the many walking adventures I took at my artist's residency in the northeastern region of France!

Utilizing pattern, light and nuances of the tamed and untamed aspects in my environment enable me to offer an unexpected perception of the landscape.
