I made this painting in 2019, so much inspired by my garden where everywhere I saw red oriental poppies. I love them very much and paint them every year. Mostly on a big canvas.

I was born in 1949 in Utrecht (Holland) and live in Houten, near Utrecht. I have a little atelier 3,50x6.00 meters there and make big paintings in oil on canvas and drawings from flowers, plants and portrets in oil. I give courses and workshops in painting. My inspiration is nature and I paint that very large in oil. I am happy to have a garden with all kind of flowers, but specially beautifull poppies! I paint and draw them always. I love it!!! But I am fond of flowers anyway!!
