About The Artwork
I feel closer to Henry Miller when he describes himself as a conduit. I love oil paint, and wax and resin, for it's ability to layer upon itself, creating both a flat image (2D) and a window, into which one may see many thing. I like using the black board and a clear resin and wax gesso that I make myself. I use a lot of traditional materials in my studio. I just can't let go of the depth that can be created with oil as a base when it comes to painting.
