RMS Titanic Painting

My newest works are very loosely connected to narrative, and more strongly connected to the exploration of paint. Despite being informed by people and places initially, the paintings are then a continuous destruction of that process. Using paint at a chaotic and non-sensical level means that the humanity in the work is bullied by the material used to create it. Although apparently fuelled by people and places, my work is a promotion of the material rather than the subject matter. That within the work becomes submerged in paint - drowning in a process which is used to both celebrate and immortalize it.
