About The Artwork

This image of the fish came to me in both dream and illuminated vision. Most people know that Yeshu'a (Jesus) is associated with Pisces, the Age of Pisces, his sign being the fish. Myriad are its meanings. Yeshu'a and the Essenes often called themselves "fishers of men", indicating their devotion to returning Humanity to its true origins. And surprising to many, they were closely aligned with the Feminine, the Divine Feminine. In this painting the soft lavender background represents the Feminine palette of Creation. And looking closely at the bottom left-hand corner, there is the hint of the Vesica Piscis: the union of opposites, the shape formed by two perfectly intersecting circles with the same radius, so the center of each lies on the circumference of the other. Also named the Womb of the Universe, or the Mandorla (the almond), the shape is central to Sacred Geometry and the Flower of Life, the creation pattern of everything in the Universe. In codes of Light and color born of frequency (sound), it reveals our divine nature and the path home to Source. Yeshu'a's true sign was the Vesica Piscis; placed on its side, the shape of the fish and its tail become evident. Here, the eye of the fish indicates knowledge, the vision, through the multidimensional Universe, into our true nature.

Cristina Balan is an abstract artist. Born in Moldova, she studied arts from the age of five. Very early on, her works were exhibited at various artistic performances in Moldova and abroad. The fall of the Soviet Union paused Cristina’s creative ascension, as after graduating the School of Fine Arts she had to work in the corporate world to be able to support herself. In her thirties, she became a prominent business community leader, and in early forties was appointed as the Ambassador to the United States. In 2019, after an almost 20-year hiatus from painting, Cristina returned full-time to art, her abstract paintings being quickly noticed and appreciated by the public. Contemporary art magazines featured her works. Her paintings have been displayed in art shows in Washington D.C., New York City, and Kiev. Cristina’s works are currently featured by art galleries from NYC, Tokyo, Barcelona and Treviso.
