Peng Painting

My works deal with geometric, abstract forms and color. These arise from the memory of things experienced, for example, in natural impressions as hiking and travelling. I extract them until a harmony of color and form arises and forms a composition. As a concrete image of this may still not be understood as a reminiscence rather than emotional remnants that is on the screen then put into an abstract composition context. This process of working in layers, can last for a longer period, sometimes up to one year or more - this causes deep spaces and spatial effects of color Renate Selmayr In meinen Arbeiten geht es um geometrische, abstrakte Formen und Farbe. Diese entspringen aus der Erinnerung an Erlebtem z. B. an Natureindrücke, die ich solange extrahiere, bis für mich eine Harmonie in Farb- und Formkomposition entstanden ist. Inspirationsquellen hierfür, sind meine Wanderungen und Reisen. Als konkretes Abbild kann dies aber eher nicht begriffen werden, eher als Reminiszenz, als emotionales Überbleibsel, das auf der Leinwand dann in einen abstrakten Kompositionszusammenhang gesetzt wird. Dieser prozessuale Weg des Arbeitens in Schichtungen, kann sich über einen längeren Zeitraum hinziehen, mitunter bis zu einem Jahr oder länger - hierbei entstehen tiefe Räume und Raumwirkungen von Farben.
