I trained as an illustrator, then spent many years working as a self employed printmaker,principally etchings. I then decided to concentrate on painting using avariety of media including watercolour, acrylics and oils.Drawing is still at the base of all my work which to me is very imortant.With this in mind I am always looking for different ways to interpret my ideas and inpiration, which is always exciting - attempting to keep the balance between the controlling and allowing things to happen without control.I also run workshops in painting and drawing especially for those nearing retirement or recently retired.
