About The Artwork
It is a nocturnal landscape where the figurative elements are mixed with a tendency to abstract painting. in the high part of the picture there is a bubble where the image of a small child is enclosed. The centrality of the work is in color and painterly gestures, the brush strokes. Yet the element of the fetus does not direct the work towards a matrix expressionist clearly, as if it were a pictorial melange between De Kooning, Neo Rauch or Frida Kahlo. It was worked almost entirely oil and finished with permanent markers.
