Omega Painting

This piece of art is inspired by the color "Orange". I wanted to paint something that uses different shades of orange in harmony with the other colors in the painting. This is an abstract piece of art that can be categorized as cubism. In cubism, the object/figure is broken down into different planes and geometrical shapes and then regroup to make an abstract painting. I prefer Abstract painting over other styles because the ambiguity inherent in abstract art invites viewers to bring their own experiences, perspectives, and emotions to the artwork. This open-ended quality allows for a broad range of interpretations. The painting has a smooth rubbery finish consistent with dried acrylic paint on canvas, finished with varnish. I used a standard canvas and Marie's acrylic paints. The painting doesn't include hanging software.
