Exodus Painting

The theme of the painting is the exodus in hope of a brighter future, painted in black / silver and red. As the migrations are the fact through all the history, the Exodus today is global reallity. I was focused on drama of migrants leaving their home countries and on their expectations, which are rarely fullfilled. It was obviously the forecast of today's drama in Europe, but I still prefer the scope from the migrants's point of view, rather than demo-political issues. The painting is tall because I wanted, that the spectator, standing on the ground experiences the look in the future from below towards up. The dramatic long shadows and the red spots on the road are illustrating the long, uncertain and painfull way. The painting was awarded by the Jury of Union of Slovenian Artist Association on anual exhibition in 2013. Please note: It can be transported in a crate if the agent approves (depending on where it's sent), otherwise in a tube.
