About The Artwork
Early one morning this was my view on a walk around my Father's farm. This is a wooded path that runs next to a field he use to garden. I loved the fall of the shadows and the light and the design they made on a warm spring day. There is such a peace walking around early as the day begins, with the dew on the ground it makes me wonder if our ancestors long ago experience something similar while in the garden. The dark shadows and light remind me there are always choices to make. I pray I make the right ones. No need for a frame. Sides are painted. Wired and ready to hang.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, USA and after living many other places am once again living in Raleigh, NC. I love painting landscapes using either a brush or palette knife with oil. I love the texture a palette knife brings but what ever tool I use I paint more impressionistic. I only use my own photographs for my work to inspire me or to get me going. I hope my art makes one see their own surroundings with new eyes, and want to look at my paintings as a window to a place they may want to be or visit.
