For me, she is the archetype of femininity, combining wisdom, intuition and courage. Although we are told that Moses led his people out of slavery, it was in fact Miriam who encouraged him to finally do so: in front of the waters Moses was hesitant, in disbelief of the prophecy. Miriam set the first step, believing the sea would part. And so it did. The artwork is signed and dated on the back. Please note: this artwork is sold without a frame.

I am a Czech-born and now Germany based painter. In my works I explore the essence of what surrounds me: why do people act the way they do? What lies beneath the surface of what meets the eye? What are we driven by? To express what I sense beneath the surface I feel drawn to different materials and a range of colours, which I apply in different layers on my canvases and papers, using a variety of techniques including scratching, brushing and printing. This way expressive works are created, some reduced to basic expressions, others rich in colour and texture.
