About The Artwork
My son Luka passed away Nov 9th, 2021, after eighteen months of fight against cancer. Behind him stayed an irreparable void in our home, despair, pain and disbelief that he is no more. He was a good child and a brave young man, never complaining and very, very rarely showing sadness about his unfortunate destiny. Luka was charming and talkative, he entertained the whole family and we miss him very much. Our love for Luka remains a valuable and imperishable fact that goes beyond our short lives. The broken horizon line in this portrait symbolizes Luka's life, which was interrupted prematurely. He lived with us 23 and half years. He has moved to eternity and is waiting for us there.
