Kaua e tangi mo te tupapaku (Weep not for him who is dead) Painting

The title is in Maori and English and from Jeremiah 22:10. I title my work with scripture to reference the eternal in the land. The area where I live is undergoing massive urban development and this work is a record of some of that change. There is a tomb like appearance to some of the early foundation work in these urban areas. The work is uniformly sized like others in series and they look like the pages of a book behind glass. Collectively they could read like fragments of land and scripture. Its signed and titled in Maori below the work and painted on canvas paper. The title can be framed over on purchase if wanted. The work is signed and dated.
