About The Artwork
I'm interested in the feelings that Light can evoke. With this painting "K Light", I suggest warm, verticle drapes of light against a black background. The feeling for me when I view it is dramatic, yet enticing. I want to reach into this light and feel its warm, mysterious offerings. I used oil paint on linen in order to apply subtle and precise layers of transparent glaze that will allow the white of the underpainting to illuminate the warm reddish-orange.
