Inspired by a story my grandmother told, about an enclave where our people lived for a short time. A flood came and the colors were never the same. These are the colors she spoke and the shapes of her words in my mind’s eye. The photos of this work has no color edit. The brightness of the paint is true on linen canvas.

Currently based out of the Pacific Northwest, Lucinda Gallier primarily works in acrylic on linen.
