Island (I am the light) Painting

At four in the morning the cold and a few drops of rain came in through the window; it was all dark outside and from that darkness you could clearly see the dark mass of the island of Santo Stefano. Once we returned from the trip to Ventotene, this series of works dedicated to the islands and the sea was born almost instantly. ...... The painter Gabriele Casale stands as a figure who deftly navigates between the iconic and the abstract, amalgamating elements that intertwine into a complex play of lights and shapes. In his artistic practice, the investigation of light becomes an exploration towards deeper layers of reality, a sort of dizzying journey through a geometry that develops in a dynamic and engaging way.
