The light is better seen in the darkest places. This artwork is a result of play and experiment and it turned out amazing. Maybe it’s not very modest for the author to give such names to own’s work but I honestly think and feel that this particular painting has a bold and unstoppable optimistic feel. That is something we could all use right now. The name comes from a well-known Camus quote: “In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back”. I want this painting to find its home where it’s most needed. I’m sure it will bring good vibe and remind people looking at it about the resources and power and beauty they have within themselves. And the watering can is also a symbol of inner power and resilience to cultivate what we want. This would also make a meaningful gift to someone dear. The painting is done in artist grade oil pastels on a special acid-free cardboard and is covered with special lacquer for better preservation and gloss. But it is better displayed in a glass frame to keep the dust away. The surface is textured with rich mark-making and sgraffito technique is used particularly too. Individual framing option is possible upon request.

Germany
I am Ukrainian artist based in Dresden, Germany. Soft pastel and oil pastel are my two favorite art mediums that give a wide range of expressive possibilities. All of my artworks represent my inner response to numerous impressions of the surrounding world, I aim to highlight the beautiful, the light, the creative part of nature, human nature as well. I'm drawn to impressionistic and naive style of painting but every work is a bit of an experiment and I'm open to what may come in the process. Color is also important and usually my works are rich in color and texture. If I inspire someone to start his/her own creative journey or lighten someone's mood with my art, I consider my mission accomplished.
