About The Artwork
As a young child I used to imagine the earth being invaded by these fat creatures called 'Gutseybeys'. For whatever reason these images stayed in my head for years. When I decided to paint the Gutseybeys, in order to excorcise them from my mind, I imagined it might seem a bit of a strange painting, but Ive always felt that I want to stay faithful to what I paint as long as it nails down what I feel I need to express, without boundries and restrictions. So here they are, liberated from my mind, just as I had always imagined them!
