I was fortunate enough to have some time to wander through Barcelona a few years ago, and I spent some of it strolling through the rather whimsical Park Guell. What a stunning place. This painting was from a photograph I took during my visit.....it's a bit more realism than I typically aspire to recreate, but the challenge of capturing the arches kept me occupied for days...the color, the texture of the rock, the perspective. It was a challenging but very fun piece to paint. :)
