Hitomi's sculptural paintings engrave memories of the planet. They were made using her original molding technic: melting the supporting medium made of a soft material. The paints and pigment are absorbed by the artificial material then, when the medium is melted away, an interesting result that looks like crystallized mineral comes to appear. By digging the supporting material like an archaeologist, the artist rediscovered paint layers that, to her, are something solid that represents value in life and humanity. The work is delicately hand made in details and comes in a white box frame with anti-reflective museum glass in order to benefit the pure colour of the Japanese pigment.

Hitomi's works are based on showing poetry in humanity by using artificial objects such as tiles or invented devices. Her recent abstract paintings indicate the fragility of a peaceful flat state, nowadays, because of pollution, terror, political decisions or economic crisis, there are little ground where we can live safely. As a result of focusing on the light and shadow of our self, her works shine with the praise of existence and produce a gradation in order to reconciles two conflicting principles: black and white, male and female, old and new, life and death...as Hitomi believes our universe consists in the mixture and balance of all these elements.
