FOUR LITTLE LION CUBS Painting

I love to paint nature, and in this painting I had to indicate the heat of African Game Reserve, with dry grass and I used the Ochre colour. I also wanted to give expression to the little cubs,Mum had told them to stay there and hide , for their own safety. but as all youngsters are, they are curious and can't resist a little peep. There is always a leader, the cheeky one, the brave and sometimes foolish one. I like to paint in acrylic as it alows me to layer the paint and give a depth to colour. Also it dries quickly, as I can't wait to get to the next stage !
