I am sure, that I live in my own Belarus, which no longer exists for everyone. I beleive that some day people become familiar with Her, will see Her beauty and individuality. … A girl closes her eyes, her mind is surrounded with warmth and tenderness of nature. What are the romantic thoughts of her? What she seeks to find refuge from the painful reality, and what causes such a naive escapism? Image of a a cross of Jaryla on the trunk of the tree as an ancient image of a protection and the inextricable link with nature and family origins. You can see thes cross on the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Belarusian Democratic Republic in 1918. It is her talisman and shelter from social tendencies, which she cannot accept.

Artist ( Юлия Потоцкая ) with Belorussian origins, living and creating in France. In my works I try not to put pressure on the viewer with obvious icons, because I want to wake up in a human his own contradictory, ambiguous thoughts and feelings. I do not impose ideas - I'm hinting towards the possibilities of perception. Apart of schools, coarses, practice in art and design, I have obtained two master degree in Computer Science and Applicational Mathematics. It helps me to look at the fine arts as a researcher. My methods evolve from the techniques of composition and colour to experiments with whole concepts. My goal is to awaken the conflicting feelings of the viewer, to encourage the viewer to ask questions when he see my picture and to try to catch the author's motivation.
