Riding a bicycle to my studio, I can see from the bridge on the Vistula a wide, luminous perspective of water and sky, and then I run down a small path among the thickets of the wild right bank. The hope and joy of the beginning of spring, the subsequent saturation of summer and the harbingers of falling asleep in the trees also apply to my life. In spite of the autumn cold, sometimes I go this way to see familiar places changed, in the next scene of passing. “I am delighted by this exhibition. It displays a rare sense of beauty, the drama of the world and man's place in it. The paintings are technically bold and highly accomplished (...). It's a very pleasant surprise for me that something like this Is So close. There's a huge sense of drama and tension in the work and a great question mark regarding human existence. Also, a very dynamic organisation of space ... the images are superb" Prof. Andrzej Strumiłło about „The desert” project Aleksandra Batura (b.1982) a Warsaw based artist and mother of two sons.
